Planning the '77 Kawasaki KZ650 project

Now that the KZ is out in the open and underway, we need to make some decisions. Changing the stance of the bike will do more for the ride and look than any other one thing. We can do that with new springs and oil in the suspension front and back.
we can go from this...

to this!... I left shadows of what was removed to show what was changed.
We can acheive this vintage adventure-touring look with the suspension mods, lower dirtbike handlebars, smaller signal lights and tail lights, dual-purpose tires, shortened exhaust pipes and a new seat. We can refurbish the engine and then it will be ready for paint. Deciding what paint you want will be difficult, we can do stealthy or in-your-face. Here are some more things to think about.
the handlebars and seat on this kz are about what we are looking for

a stealthy paint job like this would be an option

inpiration

we need to decide on a headlight, grilles like this are nice and tough looking

seat like this would be a good place to start, lighter and comfy

dual headlights are awesome for offroad, and a unique touch

racks like this will be essential
I'm up for anything man
Check out BikeExif for and endless list of bikes and stuff. Then we will be ready for anything when you get home!
